Remarks:
Each sample is the lyophilised form of a 1.0 mL portion of serum with additives (4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (HEPES), sodium azide, benzamidine hydrochloride monohydrate, sodium chloride and aprotinin). The human serum was produced from plasmapheresis material obtained from two consenting patients with antiphospholipid syndrome. The material is kept under argon gas in threaded glass bottles with rubber stoppers and polypropylene screw caps. Intended Use:
The material is primarily intended to be used for the calibration of immunoassay-based in vitro diagnostic devices. As for any calibrator it should be verified that it is commutable. Material ERM-DA477/IFCC was found to be commutable for combinations of Aeskulisa β2-Glyco-GM (Aesku), Anti-beta-2-glycoprotein I IgG/IgM (Orgentec Diagnostika), ImmuLisa® Enhanced β2GPI ELISA (Immco Diagnostics), QUANTA Lite® β2 GPI IgG (INOVA diagnostics) and QUANTA Flash® ß2GP1 IgG (INOVA diagnostics). If ERM-DA477/IFCC is used for the calibration of other measurement procedures it should be verified by the user that the material or its dilutions used are commutable. As with any reference material, it can be used for establishing control charts or validation studies.

Intended Use:
The intended use of this materials is to assess method performance, i.e. for checking accuracy of measurement results Important: Interferences in the HPLC chromatograms were detected in most results for benzo[a]pyrene and all results for benzo[e]pyrene. The material is therefore not suitable for determination of benzo[e]pyrene by HPLC and an analytical bias when determining benzo[a]pyrene by HPLC is likely.

Intended Use:
The material is used for standardisation (performance verification) of NMR spectrometers. It is recommended to routinely run the spectra of two of the reference ethanols which have (D/H)I values at the two ends of the range of isotopic ratios usually determined in the laboratory. Weekly calibrations are appropriate to detect any potential drift in the overall stability of the spectrometer.
