  Properties:
Diameter 15.1 - 54 nm

Remarks:
ERM-FD103 is a titanium dioxide nanorod material certified for different particle size and shape parameters as determined by electron microscopy and image analysis according to ISO 13322-1. The certified values are expressed as: . Minimum Feret diameter (Fmin; minimum distance between two parallel tangents to opposite sides of the particle) · Maximum Feret diameter (Fmax; maximum distance between two parallel tangents to opposite sides of the particle) · Maximum inscribed circle diameter (diameter of the largest circle that fits into the particle profile) · Area-equivalent diameter or equivalent circular diameter (ECD; diameter of a circle having the same projection area as the particle) · Aspect ratio (Fmin/Fmax) The material is available in 5 mL pre-scored glass ampoules containing approximately 2 mL of suspension. The material shall be stored at 18 °C ± 5 °C in the dark. *** For more information see https://crm.jrc.ec.europa.eu/p/ERM-FD103 *** Additional keywords: nanoparticle, nanomaterial

Intended Use:
The intended use is to check the performance of instruments and/or methods that characterise the morphology (i.e. size and shape) of nanorods (particles with two external dimensions in the size range of approximately 1 nm to 100 nm) that are deposited onto a suitable flat substrate. The certified values that have been assigned are regarded as reliable estimates of the true values and ERM-FD103 can therefore be used for calibration purposes.
