ERM-BF435b is one of the two potato powders certified for its identity with respect to the potato event PH05-026-0048. ERM-BF435b has been produced from whole potato tubers of genetically modified potatoes supplied by BASF Plant Science Company GmbH (Ludwigshafen, DE). The CRM was produced and certified under the responsibility of the Institute for Reference Materials and Measurements of the European Commissions Joint Research Centre (EC-JRC-IRMM). In accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 65/2004, the PH05-026-0048 potato event was assigned the unique identifier code BPS-PHØ48-1. According to the information provided by BASF the genetically modified potato tubers used to process ERM-BF435b is tetraploid and one of the four genome copies carries the transgenic insert. The CRM is supplied in amber glass bottles containing at least 1 g potato powder packed under argon atmosphere. Bottles should be stored dry and in the dark at (4°+/-3°)C. The dry CRM powder is hygroscopic. Users are therefore advised to close vials immediately after taking a sample. *** For more information see https://crm.jrc.ec.europa.eu/p/ERM-BF435b *** Additional keywords: PH05-026-0048 potato, BPS-PH0-48-1, GMO event
